Klamath Falls, Oregon – Starting Monday, September 15, the ADA-accessible playground at Moore Park will be closed for a short time. City authorities said that the closure is necessary to finish warranty work on the play area’s surface. The work should take a few days, and the playground should be open again by the end of the week, when the repairs are done and the surface is safe for people to use.
The affected playground, installed last summer, was designed to provide inclusive play opportunities for children of all abilities. City workers said that the equipment is still in fine shape, but the surface needs to be taken care of under the original installation warranty. The crews will do the work to make sure the playground stays safe.
During this time, only the playground that is accessible to people with disabilities will be closed. Families that go to Moore Park can still enjoy the other playgrounds and facilities on the site. The closure will not affect the park’s facilities, such as trails, open spaces, and extra play places.

Officials highlighted how important the project is, saying that good maintenance will make the play field last longer and keep kids safe. Families will be able to go back to the playground right away after the renovations are done.
