City of Klamath Falls is looking to hire Executive Legal Assistant with salary up to $93,516 per year

Klamath Falls, Oregon – The City of Klamath Falls announced that it is now taking applications for the job of Executive Legal Assistant. This is an important administrative position that gives the City Attorney’s office private and high-level support.

The Executive Legal Assistant works under the City Attorney and is in charge of doing difficult legal and administrative work that requires a good understanding of city regulations, court rules, and statutes. The job includes writing legal papers, filling out official forms, and keeping track of sensitive information about the City Code, City Charter, Municipal Court, and collective bargaining issues.

The Executive Legal Assistant helps with legal work and also works closely with the City Recorder to keep the Administration Division’s filing systems organized and up to date. This includes making sure that city documents are kept and retrieved correctly, following state and federal records management standards, managing document indexing and scanning, and doing quality control checks.

The individual in this position will have access to private information and will engage with management personnel on issues that directly affect city policy, therefore they need to be professional and discreet. This job requires someone who pays attention to detail, is good at organizing things, and knows how the law works.

The job pays a good wage within Grade 119, from $64,932 to $93,516 a year, depending on experience and credentials. The benefits package includes vacation and sick leave, membership in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS), and full health, dental, and vision insurance policies. Hartford Life Insurance also covers employees.
