Governor Tina Kotek announces departure of Chief of Staff Andrea Cooper

Salem, Oregon – Governor Tina Kotek today announced a significant change within her administration. Andrea Cooper, the Chief of Staff, is set to depart from her role on March 29th. In light of this departure, Chris Warner, who currently holds the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for Public Administration, will step in as the acting Chief of Staff throughout the transition period.

Leadership Transition in the Governor’s Office

This shift comes after Cooper’s impactful tenure starting in November 2022, during which she brought her extensive experience to the forefront, significantly contributing to the Kotek administration’s early successes. Prior to her role with Governor Kotek, Cooper was deeply involved in the Oregon government, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Kate Brown for two years.
