Klamath County, Oregon – Road repair season is moving into a busy stretch across Klamath County, bringing everything from pre-dawn sweeping crews to overnight closures. For drivers, this will require extra patience, and, in several places, a different route.
The most significant disruption remains on East Langell Valley Road between Jones Road and Bunn Way. That section is fully closed and is expected to remain unavailable through Friday, September 11, 2026.
County chip seal crews are scheduled to work through August 6 on East Langell Valley Road, North Ridge Drive, Hunters Ridge Road, Old Fort Road, Bisbee Street and the south end of Altamont Drive. Early-morning broom crews will follow from August 4 through August 7, beginning work at 4 a.m. along the same roads.
Drivers should also prepare for grinding and paving on Shasta Way between Winona Way and Austin Street. Lane closures and flaggers will be in place, and delays are expected.
A separate nighttime closure is planned for Shasta Way between Alameda Avenue and Dayton Street. Work will take place from 9 p.m. August 3 until 6 a.m., with Shasta Way closed at Crater Lake Parkway. Motorists should follow posted detour signs.
Another overnight closure is scheduled at the intersection of east Hilyard Avenue and Vermont Avenue. The intersection will close at South 6th Street from 9 p.m. August 4 until 6 a.m. Local traffic will be redirected through Western Street.
Utility work on Wesgo Drive will create additional lane restrictions and delays as crews complete utility crossings.
Elsewhere, Campbell Road west of Ivory Pine Road remains affected by bridge work. Traffic is limited to one lane across County Bridge 1210-4 over the North Fork Sprague River.
Most flagging delays are expected to range from zero to 20 minutes. Schedules may change because of weather, equipment problems or material availability.
