Klamath Falls, Oregon – Klamath County voters will begin seeing election materials in their mailboxes weeks before the Nov. 3, 2026, General Election, with several key dates arriving quickly in October. For voters, the biggest message from the Klamath County Clerk’s Office is simple: check registration, watch the mailbox and leave enough time to return a ballot.
The election calendar starts moving in early October. Voters’ Pamphlets are scheduled to be mailed between Oct. 9 and Oct. 14, followed by ballots on Oct. 14.
The deadline to register as a new voter is Oct. 13, and postmarks count for registrations submitted by mail. Residents can also register online through Oregon’s election website or visit the Klamath County Clerk’s Office at 305 Main St. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at any time. The county’s official election schedule also lists Oct. 13 as the registration deadline and Oct. 14 as the date all ballots will be mailed.
Anyone who has not received a ballot by Monday, Oct. 19, should contact the Clerk’s Office for a replacement. Requests can be made by calling (541) 883-5134 or emailing [email protected]. Voters may also visit the office and complete a replacement ballot form to receive one at the counter.

Ballots may also be returned by mail, but the Clerk’s Office recommends mailing them at least seven days before Election Day. Similar guidance issued by the county for the May 2026 primary urged voters to allow that seven-day window when using the mail.
For this election, Klamath County lists one local ballot measure specifically for residents of the Chemult Rural Fire Protection District. County records identify it as Measure 18-145, a five-year local option tax.
