Klamath County’s initiative for safer roads receives financial support from ODOT and NHTSA

Klamath Falls, Oregon – The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is set to enhance its traffic enforcement initiatives thanks to approximately $13,000 in grants they have recently secured.

This funding comes from both the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The primary use of these funds will be to enhance the enforcement of traffic laws, specifically targeting areas of concern such as distracted driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII’s), compliance with safety belt regulations, pedestrian safety, and speed enforcement. Through this initiative, KCSO aims to significantly reduce traffic violations and improve road safety for all Klamath County residents and visitors.
