Klamath Falls street crews target pavement repairs and school zone markings for the week of June 22

Klamath Falls, Oregon – Klamath Falls drivers will see street crews out early next week as the Public Works Streets Division begins a planned round of paving, painting, sign work and sweeping across the city.

The asphalt crew is scheduled to work from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, as long as weather allows. The week begins Monday, June 22, with crews digging out and repaving two sections of Adams at Orchard. On Tuesday, June 23, work moves to Mountain View Boulevard and Dagget, where a section will be dug out and repaved. During that project, access to Mountain View will be available from Clairmont.

On Thursday, June 25, crews are scheduled to repave utility cuts at 1430 and 1732 Gary Street, 1726 and 1819 Kane, 1800 McClellan and 1724 Kimberley.

The city’s paint crew will also be working before much of Klamath Falls is fully awake. Their schedule runs from 3 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, again weather permitting. From Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24, crews will paint crosswalks and street legends along Washburn Way from Shasta Way to Crater Lake Parkway. They will also complete similar painting work in the Plaza area.

Later in the week, the focus turns to school zones. On Thursday, June 25, and Friday, June 26, paint crews are expected to refresh crosswalks and legends around Klamath Union High School, Mills School, Pelican School and Eagle Ridge High School.

Alongside the paving and painting schedule, signs and sweeping crews will work from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Their duties include fixing signs and sweeping citywide as needed.

All scheduled work depends on weather conditions. Residents and drivers should use caution near crews, watch for temporary changes and allow extra time when traveling through affected areas.
