Klamath Falls, Oregon – Halloween celebrations in Klamath County are getting a four-legged twist this October, with a free community event that puts dogs, their owners, and a little spooky fun at the center of the action. Costumes, prizes, and activities will all be part of the experience.
And this time, the family dog does not have to stay home. The upcoming Mutts-N-Butts event is designed to welcome both people and their pets while connecting residents with helpful community resources.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, the event will take place at Linman Hall at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. Activities will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., giving visitors five hours to enjoy the celebration.
Organized by Klamath County Public Health, Cherish K9, and the Klamath Dog Fanciers, Mutts-N-Butts combines a family-friendly gathering with information and resources for local dog owners.
One of the main attractions will be a dog costume contest, offering an opportunity for pet owners to bring their dressed-up companions into the Halloween festivities. A special photo area featuring dog costumes will also be available for visitors who want to capture memories from the day.
There will be more than costumes and photographs, however.
Organizers are planning raffle prizes, community resources, and information specifically intended for dog owners. The activities are designed to make the gathering both entertaining and useful for people attending with their pets.
Another highlight is the free food being offered to the first 100 people. Those hoping to take advantage of that offer should keep the event’s 11 a.m. starting time in mind, as the food giveaway is limited to the first 100 attendees.

The event is open to families and pets, but organizers have outlined two important rules. All dogs must remain on a leash, and the entire gathering will be tobacco-free.
With no admission charge, Mutts-N-Butts offers Klamath County residents an opportunity to spend a Saturday with their dogs without paying to attend.
Whether visitors come for the costume contest, the raffle prizes, the community information, or simply an afternoon alongside other dog owners, the October 24 gathering brings several activities together under one roof.
The event will conclude at 4 p.m. at Linman Hall, bringing an afternoon of Halloween-themed activities and community connections to a close.
