Klamath County, Oregon – Klamath County Public Works has made a list of the most important building and maintenance projects that will take place the week of August 25, 2025. There will be crews working in many places, so drivers should be careful, expect delays, and choose different routes where they can.
Chip sealing work will be done on a number of streets in the City of Klamath Falls from August 25 to August 28. This kind of surface treatment helps keep roads in good shape for a long time and prevents long-term damage. A broom team will work in the early morning hours between August 26 and 29 to sweep chip-sealed roads and get them ready for a fog seal finish. This will help the procedure go smoothly.
Along with the work in the city, there will be lane closures and flagging activities on several county projects. From August 25 to August 29, work will be done on the shoulders of Seven Mile Road. Traffic will be controlled during the day. At the same time, Madison and Patterson sidewalks will be getting improvements, which will also necessitate lane limitations and flaggers to keep traffic moving.
Drivers who need to go through these regions should be ready for delays of anywhere from a few minutes to 20 minutes. Officials from Public Works said that they will try to keep delays to a minimum, but they are unavoidable because of the enormity of the projects and the necessity for safety. There will be obvious signs at the ends of each work zone showing where the flagging stations are.

Schedules may alter depending on weather conditions, equipment difficulties, or availability of materials. Sometimes, work might be done ahead of schedule or moved to a different date without warning. County officials ask that homeowners not contact to report inactivity at a site because this usually implies the work is done or has been postponed to an other date.
Drivers should also remember to go carefully through areas with chip seal and paint stripes. Slowing down helps keep newly treated surfaces from getting damaged and lowers the danger of oil or paint getting on cars.
The Klamath County Public Works website has a map of all the chip seal roads that are planned for the 2025 season. You can call the department at (541) 883-4696 with any questions.
The Board of County Commissioners and the Public Works Department expressed gratitude to the public for being patient while this year’s road and bridge repair season goes on. These initiatives are necessary to make local transportation networks safe and reliable, even though they will cause some short-term problems.
