City of Klamath Falls provides utility bill assistance for qualifying seniors

Klamath Falls, Oregon – With the introduction of the 2025 older Citizen Utility Credit, Klamath Falls is once again poised to keep supporting older citizens. With a $65.00 credit on utility bills for qualified elderly residents, this program seeks to give the older population financial relief.

Applications for the utility credit have specific income and age criteria to meet. Single applicants are required to have an annual gross income of no more than $28,350, while the threshold for couples is set at $32,400. Every applicant also has to be a minimum of 60 years old. Processing the application calls for proof of both age and income.

The utility credit is intended specifically for accounts registered under Klamath Falls’ city borders and must be under the applicant’s name. The service location should be the main residence of the applicant; the account should have been active from January 1, 2024, until December 31, 2024.
