Klamath Falls, Oregon – The City of Klamath Falls is now accepting applications for a new Airport Business Manager. This person will be in charge of running the day-to-day business at Crater Lake Klamath Regional Airport. The job posting highlights the need for an experienced professional who can help the Development Services Director while making sure that airport operations are in line with the city’s larger goals and mission. Even though the job doesn’t include directly supervising people, it does require good organizational vision, great administrative judgment, and the ability to handle a wide range of operational tasks.
The Airport Business Manager will be the airport’s main point of contact, taking care of everything from following the rules to talking to tenants. Daily tasks include checking security access credentials, keeping the system accurate, fixing access problems, and carrying out the needed annual audits. The job also needs careful adherence to FAA laws, such as following the rules for financial reporting, tracking grants, and following the rules for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises every year. Business reporting and procurement supervision remain important, which shows how important it is to have a good understanding of policies and finances.
Beyond internal operations, the posting highlights the position’s outreach and public-facing obligations. The chosen candidate will help with airport-related marketing, event planning, and community relations projects. Part of the regular duties will also be to provide business requests and updates to the City Council. The city says that the manager will only be able to do a good job if they can look at the current administrative systems, suggest changes, make reporting easier, and find ways to save money. Maintaining leases, issuing monthly airport billing, and ensuring ongoing communication with airport tenants and stakeholders will remain steady tasks.

Another big part of the job is reporting to federal and state entities. The new employee will gather and submit contract information, keep an eye on changes, create compliance documentation, and handle any other tasks that come up. Experience with grants is very important because the manager will be in charge of looking into opportunities, writing proposals, and making sure that the funding is used legally. A valid Oregon driver’s license is required, while industry certification — either Certified Member or Accredited Airport Executive — is considered a preferred qualification.

The salary is between $74,508 and $107,268 a year, and it comes with complete benefits. You can only apply through the city’s official website, and the application period will stay open until the position is filled. The City of Klamath Falls says that all applicants have the same chance of getting a job, as required by state and federal law.
