Klamath County, Oregon – On Saturday, August 16, 2025, families, pet lovers, and community members are invited to Veterans Park for a fun morning full of activities, resources, and a shared message of health and wellbeing. The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon and will be suitable for both families and dogs. It will also be free of tobacco.
Organizers believe there will be something for everyone on the day. Visitors can get free meals, check out community resource booths, and join smoking cessation programs that are meant to help people in the area get healthier. One of the event’s specific goals is to make people more aware of how secondhand smoke can harm dogs and to get them to quit smoking to protect their furry friends.
Animal lovers will be able to meet canines that are up for adoption and learn more about the procedure from local partners. There will be raffle prizes available all morning for those who feel lucky, and a photo booth will be set up to take pictures of the day’s events. Every dog that comes must be on a leash so that every four-legged guest can feel safe and welcome.

The organizers want the morning to bring the community together in a pleasant, supportive, and smoke-free setting with free entrance, a variety of activities, and a focus on the health of both people and animals.
