Klamath Falls, Oregon – Beginning Monday, July 14, 2025, street maintenance work will speed up across Klamath Falls. City crews will spend a full week paving roads, painting lines, fixing signs, and sweeping. During the early morning and afternoon hours, teams will be working in many sections of the city. Drivers should plan ahead, respect the detours, and be careful in work areas.
On Monday, July 14, asphalt paving crews will start and will keep working until Thursday, July 17. The crews will work on parts of Pine Street every day from 3 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Monday, they will be grinding and paving between 9th and 10th streets, which will require the road to be closed and detours to be set up.
Paving will move to the area between 10th and 11th streets on Tuesday, July 15. Pine Street will be closed at 11th. The block between 6th and 7th streets will be the main emphasis on Wednesday. There will be traffic control devices in place to keep cars moving smoothly. On Thursday, there will be utility cut work in both the industrial and downtown regions.
The paint crews, on the other hand, will start their work a day later, on Tuesday, July 15, and finish on Friday, July 18. Their early morning shift starts at 3 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. every day. From 3 a.m. until 7 a.m., crews will repaint crosswalks and roadway markings along Washburn. Next, the focus shifts to making it safer for people to walk near schools. Work will be done at Klamath Union High School and Roosevelt Elementary, where curbs, crosswalks, and legends will all get new paint.

Along with paving and painting, workers will be sweeping and putting up signage all across the city from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day of the week. Their jobs will include restoring signs that are broken or missing and cleaning up trash from the streets to keep the roads safe and easy to use. These crews will work as needed, depending on the weather and the most important regions.
All planned work depends on the weather and can be changed if necessary. To keep workers and the public safe, the City of Klamath Falls asks drivers to stay alert, pay attention to all signs, and slow down when they see construction zones.
