Klamath Falls, Oregon – Some of Klamath Falls’ most important summer work will happen before many residents finish their first cup of coffee. Street crews are preparing to repair pavement, refresh crosswalks and handle routine maintenance across the city, with some shifts beginning as early as 3 a.m.
The work may look scattered on a map, but each stop serves the same purpose: keeping streets usable, markings visible and neighborhood routes in better condition.
The City of Klamath Falls Public Works Streets Division has released its work schedule for July 13 through July 17, with all activities dependent on weather conditions.

The asphalt crew will operate from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Work begins Monday, July 13, with crack sealing planned on Brett Way.
On Tuesday, July 14, crews are scheduled to pave utility cuts in the 800 block of Homedale Road and at 2209 Madison Street. These repairs address sections of pavement previously opened for utility work.
A more noticeable project is planned for Wednesday, July 15, when crews will grind out a section near Esplanade Avenue and Wall Street. Traffic control will be in place while the work is underway, so drivers should be prepared for possible delays or changes in normal traffic flow.
Thursday’s asphalt schedule includes several locations along South Sixth Street and Amberview Drive. Crews are expected at 3060 South Sixth Street, 3949 South Sixth Street, near South Sixth Street by Wubba’s, and at 5332 and 5336 Amberview Drive.

Starting before sunrise allows crews to complete some marking work when traffic is lighter, although weather could still change the schedule.
Signs and sweeping crews will operate from 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. During the week, they will repair signs and sweep streets throughout Klamath Falls as needed.
