Klamath Falls residents urged to help shape two-year financial plan at May 15 meeting

Klamath Falls, Oregon – The City of Klamath Falls will next week call its Budget Committee to map a financial path for the following two fiscal years. The committee will meet in the Council Chambers at 500 Klamath Avenue on Thursday, May 15, 2025, and will open its doors and microphone to city residents wanting to comment on the suggested Biennial Budget spanning July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. Starting at 9:00 a.m., the session will continue until all business is finished.

Starting the meeting, committee members will offer the Budget Message, a summary highlighting the financial goals and issues of the city. From there, public discussion will take center stage. City officials expect a lively debate, especially on the distribution of State Revenue Sharing money and how those resources could most effectively meet local need.
