Klamath Falls seeks IT systems administrators to strengthen city technology and public safety

Klamath Falls, Oregon – The City of Klamath Falls is looking for skilled people to fill the positions of IT Systems Administrator or IT Senior Systems Administrator. These are very technical jobs that are important for keeping the city’s IT infrastructure running effectively. The opening shows that the city needs reliable, safe, and high-performing systems in many areas, particularly those that deal with public safety.

The job is mostly about setting up, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the city’s primary systems and infrastructure. Supporting the city’s system design, keeping an eye on how well hardware and software are working, and keeping environments with high availability are all part of the daily job. The administrator helps with training workers and provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical assistance. They also take part in maintenance and upgrade windows that happen after hours. Other responsibilities include overseeing system security, backups, disaster recovery planning, and managing databases and network access controls. The role also requires maintaining detailed documentation and standard operating procedures.
