Road work in Klamath County to cause lane closures and traffic delays

Klamath Falls, Oregon – Klamath County officials have announced several planned road and lane closures starting on May 6 and running through August 16. Work crews will be active in various locations, and motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow traffic control measures. If possible, using alternate routes is advised for both public safety and that of county employees and contractors.

Road Projects

Laverne Avenue: Daily lane closures will affect the area around Stearns Elementary School until mid-August.

Eberlein Avenue: The City of Klamath Falls will be replacing a water main from May through July. The replacement work will occur on Eberlein Avenue, between Patterson Street and Hilton Drive.

Skinny Patch Repairs: Work will be underway on Denver Avenue, Maywood Drive, and Riverside Drive.

Traffic control measures, including flagging stations at the ends of work zones, will be in place to guide motorists. Delays are expected to range from 0 to 20 minutes. Klamath County Public Works aims to minimize traffic disruption, and motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes if available.

Minor projects will be ongoing across Klamath County, but only major items are listed here. Weather conditions, equipment issues, and resource availability could cause adjustments to the schedule, so motorists should not be alarmed if work is delayed or rescheduled.

For questions or concerns regarding these projects, please contact the Public Works Department at (541) 883-4696.
