Klamath Falls, Oregon – Work has begun on a water infrastructure project along Austin Street, where construction crews started replacing an aging water main on March 16, 2026. According to the city’s Water Division, the project is expected to continue through the spring, with all construction activities scheduled to wrap up by Thursday, April 30, 2026.
During this period, crews will be working along the corridor to remove the existing pipeline and install new infrastructure designed to support consistent water service for the surrounding neighborhood.
Residents living near the construction zone may notice the usual signs of an active work site. Equipment will be operating throughout the project, bringing periodic construction noise as crews dig, install new piping, and restore sections of the roadway once work is complete.
Temporary traffic controls will also be put in place to guide drivers safely through or around the work area while construction progresses.
