Klamath Falls opens doors to wildfire safety with community event focused on awareness and preparedness

Klamath Falls, Oregon – An open invitation is being extended to the Klamath Falls community, offering a chance to step inside the world of wildfire preparedness and see firsthand how safety efforts are taking shape.

A free Wildfire Safety Open House is set to bring together residents, experts, and local partners for an evening focused on awareness, prevention, and practical support.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Klamath Falls Fairgrounds, inside Linman Hall on South 6th Street. Designed as a relaxed, drop-in gathering, attendees are free to arrive at any point during the two-hour window, with no registration required.

At the heart of the evening is an opportunity for direct connection. Wildfire safety and prevention teams will be available to speak with visitors, offering insight into the steps being taken to strengthen reliability and reduce risks during wildfire season and throughout the year. These conversations are expected to provide a clearer picture of how preparation and planning come together behind the scenes.

In addition to safety discussions, a customer service team will be on hand to answer account-related questions, giving attendees a chance to resolve concerns or gather information in a more personal setting. The event also creates space for engagement with local public safety partners, bringing multiple perspectives together under one roof.
