Klamath Falls, Oregon – Klamath Falls residents who want to build stronger money habits, understand credit, and feel more confident about their financial future have an upcoming opportunity to take part in a free educational workshop series this May.

The Financial Fitness Workshop will be held every Tuesday in May, with classes scheduled for May 5, May 12, May 19, and May 26. Each session will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sunrise Vista Community Room, located at 5175 Homedale Road in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Registration is required by April 30. Residents who want to sign up or ask questions can contact Donna Lindsey directly at [email protected] or by calling 458-327-3294.

The class is sponsored by the HomePath Program, a direct service of the Klamath Housing Authority, and Sage Credit Union. The workshop is designed to promote financial health by giving participants practical tools they can use in everyday life, from managing bills to planning for long-term goals.

During the series, attendees will learn about effective budgeting tools, how to set realistic financial goals, credit reports and credit scores, tax returns, employee deductions, and net worth. The course will also cover consumer protection, debt management, laws that help keep residents safe, and fair housing rights and responsibilities.

The workshop will also explore money values and habits, basic investing, protecting personal assets, and Individual Development Accounts, including a 5-to-1 savings match. These topics are intended to help residents better understand both immediate financial decisions and future planning.

The classes will be facilitated by Michelle Scott and Donna Lindsey, Certified Financial Services Instructors with HomePath Services.

The location is accessible by traveling south on Homedale Road for about two miles, turning left on Kennebeck Road, and then turning left into Sunrise Vista Apartments. Snacks and water will be provided during the sessions. Masks and hand sanitizer will also be available.
