Weeklong roadwork in Klamath Falls to bring repaving, repainting, and sign repairs across key routes

Klamath Falls, Oregon – During the week of June 9, 2025, street improvement work will be the main focus in Klamath Falls. City crews will be busy repaving, painting, fixing signs, and sweeping up in different neighborhoods. The scheduled work, which will depend on the weather, intends to make the roads safer and the infrastructure better overall, even though it will temporarily change some traffic patterns.

The city’s public works schedule says that asphalt crews will be working every day from Monday to Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Monday, June 9, the 2000 block of Benson Street will be completely repaved, and motorists will not be able to use the road during that time. On Tuesday, workers will move to Main Street to grind and pave the area between 2nd and 3rd Streets. This area will stay open, however lane restrictions will be examined to keep traffic moving.

On Wednesday, June 11, work will continue on the 1900 block of Siskiyou Avenue. The road will be closed all day for repaving. The focus will shift to Prescott Street on Thursday, June 12. The street will be resurfaced from Modoc Street to Van Camp. While staff are working, this part will likewise be completely closed.

At the same time, paint crews will be working longer hours from midnight to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. On June 10 and 11, their first job will be to repaint the crosswalks and road markings at the intersection of South 6th Street and Washburn Way. To keep both workers and drivers safe, some lanes will be closed and traffic will be controlled. On Thursday and Friday, the painting crew will go to the Campus roundabout area to paint over old lane lines and other traffic signs.

Signage and street cleaning staff will be working all around the city from June 9 to June 13. These teams will work every day from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They will fix signs and clean the streets as needed, depending on the weather.

People who live in or visit the area should be ready for small delays in traffic and be careful when driving near busy construction zones. The city wants everyone to remember that this work schedule could change if the weather gets in the way.
